Miami Storage: Step by Step

Whether you're a self storage veteran or new to storage, Big Key Storage Miami has created a step by step guide to assist you with the Big Key Self Storage process:

Step One:

Decide What You'll Be Storing
First, you will need to identify exactly what you are storing.

Step Two:

Determine Proper Storage Unit Size
Once you have a general idea of Step One, you can use our size estimator to help figure out how much space you're going to need.

Step Three:

Decide If You'll Need Climate or Non-Climate Controlled Storage
Next, you will need to determine if what you are storing is temperature sensitive. We offer both climate control and non-climate controlled storage. The difference explained here:

Interior Climate Controlled:
Our interior climate controlled storage units are specifically designed to store and protect items from outside heat and humidity, such as pharmaceuticals, business records, books, toys, ski clothes and other seasonal items, antiques, fine furniture, etc. This type of storage unit will keep your stuff comfortable for as long as you keep it there

Non Climate, Drive-up:
Our non-climate controlled storage units are drive-up accessible and are for storing items that are not temperature sensitive such as fishing equipment, lawn furniture, cars, water sports equipment, etc. You can think of it as an alternative to your garage, put your stuff here, and get your primary car back where it belongs.

Step Four:

Reserve A Unit
If you're ready to reserve a unit, please call and/or stop by to speak to one of our expertly trained bilingual managers. They will confirm that your on the right track and walk you through our leasing process.

Step Five:

Organize Your Move with Packing and Moving Supplies
You now have leased your unit and are ready to start packing. You'll need packing and moving supplies. We've got it all - from boxes to tape to locks to shelving systems.

Before your move, be sure to browse our moving supplies retail area where you can find a complete line of packing and moving supplies available for purchase. Or you may purchase through our online partner.

For your convenience, we have pre-assembled packing kits available for purchase at our facility.

Step Six:

Need a Truck?
We'll even let you borrow the Big Key Self Storage truck for your initial move-in.*

Our truck can also be rented after your initial move in, or for your needs beyond our storage facility. Please call for details.
